Landfill

In this process, solid waste is disposed in large, leak-tight areas, compressed and covered to form a natural biological reactor.
It is the most cost effective method used in waste disposal.

This practice, which is environmentally acceptable and safe, requires less energy. It is possible to obtain electrical energy with the methane gas generated by the buried garbage.

The most suitable example for landfill is the Istanbul Landfill Area, which is built on a total area of 115 hectares and receives 4.500.000 tons of waste per year.
